We offer individual and group camping on a 7 acre field. The field is flat, well drained, has good access and is situated in a picturesque location on the edge of Stoke Golding. Campfires and BBQs are positively encouraged! It is safe for dogs and children as the gate can be closed and locked.
The centre of Stoke Golding is within easy walking distance and has 3 pubs, all offer food, the Three Horseshoes has an Indian restaurant which will deliver. The White Swan on High Street use our free range chicken and sausages. The George & Dragon is owned by Church End Brewery and they sell their own real ales.
There is a general store and a post office.
Stoke Golding is the birthplace of the Tudor dynasty, where Henry VII was crowned King of England.
The field is within the official map of the historic Battle of Bosworth, that took place on 22 August 1485. The Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre is located a short distance away as is the lovely village of Market Bosworth.
Whitemoors Antique centre, which was featured on BBC’s Antique Roadtrip, is also located a short distance away at Shenton.
There are many fabulous walks, we are just next to an exceptionally pretty stretch of the Ashby Canal.
The camping field is just a 15 minute drive from Twycross Zoo.
For the keen fisherman, the field borders Lychgate fisheries, day fishing is available.
